C.10MMUNICATION FROM: City Manager DATE: March 26, 1385 SUBJECT: Acceptance of "Shady Acres Pump Station Reconstruction" RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements in Shady Acres Pump Station Reconstruction and direct the Public Works Director to file a Notice of Compietion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to R. Goold b Son of Stockton on October 19, 1983, in the amount of $248,692. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was March 17, 1984. The cc-itract was suspended during the 1984 irrigation season and eventually extended to March 1, 1985, since the contractor could not complete the structure during the winter of 1983/84. The actual completion date is March 22, 1985. The contractor will be paying $500 in liquidated damages. The final contract price was $265,779.61. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is due to change.orders issued for relocation of miscellaneous utilities, relocation of the main electrical panel and additional riprap. �ack L.
