City Clerk Reimche presented a letter of resignation
received frcm Lodi Arts Ccmu. ssioner Bill Chapman. On
motion of Mayor Pro Tempore Murphy, Olson second, the City
Clerk was directed to mace the required postings to fill
this vacancy.

Candidates for a recent vacancy within the 15 -member Lodi
Arts Commission are being Bought by the commission in time for appoint-
ment at the March 16 city council meeting.
Persons interested in completing the three-year term of William

Chapman may send letters of interest 4w&. background),to the Lodi Arts
Commission, P.O.Box 871, Lodi, Ca 95241.
The commission is hoping to find a representative particularly from
within the dance or music fields in order to maintain a broad spectrum
of arts interests within its membership.
Chapman, who resigned because of health reasons, will have his
duites as historian resumed by Eileen Chafee, corresponding secretary
and former historian.
Persons interested in filing for earee-year terms on the LAC will
have opportunities for appointment when the one-year tensa of five IAC
�1/r
members expire in early May. Again, lettera showing ibterea Qackgrouud
in the arts should be sent to the commission's post office address.
LAC meets regularly at 7:10 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month
at the Lodi Parks and Recreation Department conference room, 125 N. Stockton
Street. The public is welcome.

It was with deep regret that your resignation from the Lodi
Arts Commission was received by the City Council at its
regular meeting of March 16, 1983.
The City Council wishes to extend its sincere appreciation
for your time and effort in serving your community as a
member of the Lodi Arts Commission.
It will be necessary for you to file a Leaving Office
Conflict of Interest Filing. This filing is due in my
office on or before April 16, 1983 and will cover the period
of January 1, 1983 through March 16, 1983.. Three sets of
the filing forms and the instructional manual are enclosed.
