James Schroeder Community Development Director City of Lodi 221 West Pine Street Lodi, California 95240 RE: A.P. 0015-060-20 b 9015-060-21 731 Turner Rd. Dear Mr. Schroeder: Hy family and I are very concerned about the future alignment of Lower Sacramento Road North of the intersection of Turner and Lower Sacramento Roads now known as Lilac Street. Our family home is located just North and Nest of the above mentioned intersection. The home has been in this location well over 70 years and my Mother, Mrs. Isabelle Towne has resided therein for over 50 years. We have had an offer to sell the home and over two acres. Re- cently we were told that Lower Sacramento Road was to be realigned and the road may come through our hone. bpon being informed of this possibility our buyer withdrew the offer. With this possibility facing us we will be unable to sell the property which has been appraised for over $400,000. 1, therefore, ask that the City of Lodi and the County of San Joaquin prepare a specific plan for the above intersection. We request the two governmental agencies to align the road to continue North of Turner Road on our East property line and there- fore eliminate the eventual unnecessary demolition of orte of the county's pioneer and historic homes. 1 Mr. James Schroeder Page 2 February 28, 1984 Time is of the essence and we ask your immediate attention to this matter. Sincerely ,,ou-r- :C,I Burton A. Towne III BAT/mdI c.c. Supervisor Ceorge Barber Chet Davisson, County Planning Director Alice Reimche, Clerk City of Lodi I
