SUBJECT= SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PADMOUNT TRANSFORMERS EUD-87-2
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specificatio.1s for
the purchase of seven 37.5 KVA, five 50 RVA, five 75 KVA and three 100 KVA
single -Phase and one 112.5 KVA, two 150 KVA, two 225 KVA, one 300 KVA, one
750 KVA, one 1,000 KVA and one 1,500 KVA three-phase padmount transformers
and authorized advertisement for bids thereon. The bid opening date has
been set for March 17, 1987.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The transformers will be used to serve new customer
loads, increase capacity at an existing customer and to maintain an inventory
for other needs and emergencies as they develop. Some of the specific projects
requiring the transformers are:
Fawnhaven Subdivision Woodlake North #2
Johnson Ranch Apartments Woodlake Plaza
Lakeshore Towers Wright Insurance Building
Lakewood Mail Expansion
The estimated cost of this purchase is $92,000 with delivery expected in
approximately five months. Funding is available in the Electric Utility
Department's operating fund.

SUBJECT: SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF POLE -MOUNTED TRANSFORMERS EUD-87-3

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the. City Council approve the specificati ns for
the purchase of one 25 KVA, four 37.5 KVA, ten 50 KVA, fifteen 75 KVA and
one 100 KVA single-phase pole -mounted transformers and authorize advertise-
ment for bids thereon. The bid opening date has been set for March 17, 1987.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The transf, aers will be used for replacement in
the PCB change -out program and to maintain an inventory for other needs as
the develop. The estimated cost of this purchase is $33,000 with delivery
expected in approximately four to five months. Funding is available in the,
Electric Utility Department's operating fund.
