HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - February 18, 1981 (33)Lodi City Councilmen City of Lodi 221 W. Pine St. Lodi, CA 95240 Gentlemen: Please accept this request for a rate increase, for you understand in today's inflation it is impossible to hold prices with the cost of manpower, fuel and supplies used going up almost on a daily basis. We have a responsibility to the people we serve to provide the best quality service to the sick and injured that is humanly possible. To keep a high standard today, we must keep current with our equipment and man- power. Paramedics are professional personnel trained to the highest competency of all state and county levels of emergency field medicine. To keep the professional paramedic, we must compensate them for their knowledge, skills and time so that we do not lose quality trained per- sonnel to other cities. With all of these demands upon the company, we find it necessary to request an inflation increase to our present rate structure. A cost projection of 23% inflationary raise would enable us to stay at a level of professional service that our community now enjoys. This still would bring us below the state average of cost of service, but place us high in quality for the services the people receive. As arrays, we will do all possible to hold cost to the best interest of the people we serve - I f you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at my office. Sincerely, I s r: Controller PDS :jm Enclosures Medl-Cah CURRENT INCREASE DESCRIPTION PRICE PRICE Base tate 69.00 85.00 Sit-up patient 69.00 85.00 Mileage -one way 3.45 4.50 Plight call - 7PM to 7AM 14.37 17.75 Emergency 14.37 17.75 Oxygen - per tank 17.25 21.25 Waiting time - per 15 min 8.65 10.75 Paramedic stand-by per 15 min 11.50 14.25 IPPB respirator 34.50 42.50 Paramedic service 40.25 49.50 Clinical spec - per hour 17.25 21.25 Defibrillator use 11.50 14.25 Emergency EKG 28.75 35.50 Heart/Lung resuscitator 28.75 35.50 Suction 11.50 14.25 Resuscitator elder 11.50 14.25 Infant ambu 11.50 14.25 Adult ambu 11.50 14.25 Emergency child birth 28.75 35.50 O.B. pack 11.50 14.25 Oral airway 3445 4.25 Reactose 8.65 10.75 Flat Stretcher 17.25 21.25 Orthopedic stretcher 17.25 21.25 Spinal board - short 11.50 14.25 Spinal board - long 11,50 14.25 Traction splint 11.50 14.25 Ladder spint 11.50 14.25 Cardboard splint 8.65 10.75 Inflation splint 8.65 10.75 Cold pak 9.00 11.25 Burn pak - large 28.75 35.50 Burn pak - small 11.50 14.25 Sand bags 2.30 3.00 Anti -shock trousers 23.00 28.50 Multi-trauma dressing 5.75 7.25 ET tube 35.00 Esophogeal airway 35.00 Needle thoracotomy 75.00 Cricothyroid stick 7.00 Lodi Ambulance Service, Inc.
