Mr. Thomas A. Peterson City Manager City of Lodi 221 West Pine Street Lodi, California 95240 Dear Tom: [all King Videocable Company , January 27, 1986 jAN 29 190 -- -- _ King Videocable Company wishes to extend our best wishes for continued success; throughout 1986 as well as inform His Honor the Mayor and Members of the Lodi City Council that our customer rates have been established for the remainder of the year. The new rates will become effective Marcl. 1, 1986.' Attached is a new listing including all those categories which are being updated. All customers affected by this action will be notified thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of the changes. This year's rates reflect several reductions, and for the most. part, modest increases. However, some of our bulk accounts will be adjusted to a greater extent j in order to bring them into a more equitable position. Prior to the rate increase I( effective July 1, 1985, our bulk accounts had not experienced a rate increase for three years. Additionally, please note that throughout the industry, bulk account rates average approximately 70% to 80% of the individual basic rate. For I many years King Videocable's bulk customers have only paid rates as low as 30' of our individual basic rate !..unheard of in today's industry! Our goal is a fair one - to raise all commercial (motel) bulk rates to 45% of our individual basic rate... still a bargain. Apartment rates will be increased to 67% of our basic rate for buildings with ten (10) to fifty (50) units. Apartment complexes with fifty-one (51) or more units will be increased to 52% of our individual basic rate. equipment investment in our facilities and ecui King Videocable has made a substantial p during the past year, as you know, and we are very pleased that our hard work is already paying off in positive customer response. We now serve over 9,200 subscribers. A brief reminder about the upcoming switch between KCRA and our community access channel, which is due on Monday, February 3.
