Adopt a resolution calling for reimbursement to the City of Lodi for .installation of a water main in Beckman Road; and 2. Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to sign future Water Main and Sanitary Sewer extension reimbursement agreements calling for reimbursement to the City. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City of Lodi constructed 994 feet of 10 -inch water line in Beckman Road from 950' south of Vine Street to 600' south of Vine Street. In order to loop the system and provide the water main along the C Basin frontage, which is the City's responsibility, the line was constructed from a point 347' south of the Basin which is covered by this agreement. (Exhibit A). Work was completed by Anderson Pipeline Construction and this resolution sets forth the reimbursement amount as outlined in Ordinance No. 1136. The agreement takes into consideration the difference between the cost of the 10" and 8" watermain. The City Manager was authorized to sign Water Main and Sanitary Sewer Extension Reimbursement Agreements for developers sometime ago. EMNSICN AGREHVWM CALLING FCR REIPMURSEVEgr TO THE CITY MERF.AS, the City of Lodi heretofore adopted Ordinance No. 1136-, which ordinance provides for the reimbursement to developers of utility lines when benefits will result from said installation to other property owners; and MM -ZEAS, the City of Lodi has installed an extension of the water line in Becknan Road, 950' south of Vine Street to 600' south of Vine Street, south of City of Lodi Drainage Basin "C"; WIM AS, the extended location of said extension is shown on Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. NOW, THERUME, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that in the event any of the abutting property owners shown on Exhibit A attached hereto develop and/or connect to the water extension line installed as shown on City of Lodi drawing 84D48 and said connection is made, then the City shall collect from the developers of the abutting property owners, a sum based upon a charge of $25.91 per front foot, which front foot cost has been determined by the Public Works Director to be the proper charge, all in accordance with said Ordinance 1136. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to Cal Water Drilling Co. of Turlock on September 5, 1984, in the amount of $40,143. The contract has been completed in substantial. conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was December 2, 1984, and the actual completion date is May 9, 1985. The final contract price was $42,123. The differenf:e between the contract amount and the final contract price is due to increased well develo rnent time and modification of well casing due to availability. Ja k L.
