Set Public Hearing for January 21, 1987 to Accept Cost of
Construction Report and Hear Objections From Property
Ownets Liable to be Assessed for Installation of Sidewalks
at 748 and 840 S. Stockton Street
RECOMMENDEDN: That the City Council set a public hearing for
January 21, 1987 to receive the Cost of Construction Report and to hear
objections or protests from property owners liable to be assessed for the
cost of such construction.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At the tine the Stockton Street, Vine Street tc
To clay Street, project was constructed, 14 property owners were given
notice to construct sidewalk where none existed. A 11 but two of the
property owners installed the required sidewalk. After the .me
prescribed in the Streets and Highways Code, the City notified its
contractor to do that work. The work nas been completed and the Code
requires that the legislative body set a time and place to hear the report
and any objections which may be raised by the property owners who are
liable for the construction.

WHEREAS, the State of California Streets and Highway Code
provides th a t the C i t y Council. set a Public Hearing to aocept the
Cost of Construction Report and to hear objections or protests from
property owners liable to be assessed for the cost of such
construction at 748 and 840 South Stockton Street, Lodi.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVFD, that the City Council of the
City of Lodi does hereby set a public hearing to accept the Cost of
Construction Report and to hear objections or protests from property
owners liable to be assessed for the cost of such construction at 748
and 840 South Stockton Street, Lodi, to be held at 7:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, January 21, 1987 in the Chambers of the Lodi City Council
at 221 West Pine Street, Lodi, California.
Information regarding this matter may be obtained in the Office
of the City Clerk at 221 West Pine Street, Lodi, California. A 11
interested persons are invited to present their views regarding this
mtter .
If you challenge the subject matter in court you may be limited
to raising only those issues you or scmeone else raised at the Public
Hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence
delivered to the City Clerk at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
