SUBJECT: Workers' Compensation Contract Administration
Our annual contract with ESIS for contract administration
expired December 31, 1980. They have offered to provide
services for calendar year 1981 for $4,900.00 for 50
claims, plus $98.00 for each claim over 50.
The 1980 contract was for $5,100.00 for 55 claims, plus
$191.00 for each compensation claim over 20, and $36.00
for each medical claim over 35. We did not reach these
maximums in 1980.
The new contract is for fewer dollars, represents the
same service levels and less upside risk.
Council is respectfully requested to authorize the City
Manager to extend the City's contract with ESIS for
administration of our Workers' Compensation program.
