CITY COUNCIL MEETING

PLANS*& SPECS The plans and specifications for "fluff Avenue
FOR "CLUFF AVENUE Storm Drain, Phase 11" were presented for Council'
RM DRAIN, PRASE approval. In general, the work consists Of
r:E 7PROVED installing approximately 1100 LF of 72" storm drain
pipe from the flood plain boundary at Willow Oaks
Golf Course, to the intersection of Cluff and
Turner, and a slide gate. A separate bid (Schedule
11) ipcludes the installation of a 60" storm drain
in Turner Road east of Cluff Avenue across the
Sanitary City Disposal Company development.
On motion of Councilman Pinkerton, Murphy second,
Council approved the plans and specifications
for "Cluff Avenue Storm Drain, Phase 11" and
authorized the City Clerk to advertise for bids
thereon.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the plans and
;Fmcifications For UFF AVENUE STORM DRAIN, PHASE 11" and authorize
the City Clerk to advertise for bids to be received Tuesday, January 27, 1981.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The construction of the Cluff Avenue Storm
r+a n was appro�n t e /81 Capital Improvement Budget with an
estimated expenditure of $1,200,000, including 50% EDA participation.
This phase of the project is being done prior to EDA grant approval in the
anticipation that expenditures will be counted toward the City's share.
in general., the work consists of installing approximately 1100 LF of 72" storm
chain pipe from the flood plain boundary at Willow Oaks Golf Course, to the
intersection of Cluff and Turner, and a slide gate. A separate bid (Schedule 11)
includes the installation of a 60" storm drain in Turner Rood east of Cluff
across the Sanitary City Disposal Company development.
The total cost of the project is estimated at: Schedule 1 $212,000.00
Schedule ii $ 55,000.00

SUBJECT: Plans and Specifications for CHEROKEE LANE STORM DRAIN
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the plans and specifications
of HEROKEE LANE STORM DRAIN, Vine Street to 250' S/Vine Street", and authorize
the City Clerk to advertise for bids to be received Tuesday, January 27, 1981.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The construction of a storm drain in the west side of
Cherokee Lane south o Vine Street was approved in the 1980-81 Capital Improve-
ment Budget with an estimated expenditure of $8,500.
in general, the work consists of Installing approximately 250 LF. of 12" storm
drain p-ipe, a side inlet catch basin and 20 LF curb and gutter in the west side:
of Cherokee Lane south of Vine Street.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $8,500.
