RECOMMENDED ACTION: Directthe City Clerk to post for expiring terms on the Lodi Animal
Advisory Commission, Lodi Senior Citizens Commission, Recreation
Commission, and the San Joaquin Valley UnifiedAir Pollution
Control District Citizens Advisory Committee.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Several terms are due to expire on various boards and
commissions. Therefore, it is recommended that the City Council
direct the City Clerk to post for the following. Government Code
Section 54970 et sea. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in
serving to submit an application.

Lodi Animal Advisory Commission
Two expiring terms -terms to expire December31, 2015 (3 -year terms)
Purpose: To act in advisory capacity to City Council in all matters pertaining to
animals; explore short- and long-term needs cf the Lodi Animal Shelter;
make periodic inventories of animal services that exist and/or may be
needed; aid in coordinating and promoting pet population control
measures and explore funding opportunities for programs; and sere as
an information and referral source on animals in the community.
Meetinos: Meets 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
Lodi Police Department- Community Room
Membership: Five members
Lodi Senior Citizens Commission
Two expiring terms -terms to expire December 31, 2016 (4 -year terms)
To advise the City Council and City staff on all matters relating to
policies and programs that will sere all senior citizens of the
community.
