HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - September 20, 1989 (63)Aug 28'89 city B I ii; P 1218 Rivergate Drive Lodi, CA 95240 City of Lodi 2.2.1 W Pine Lodi, CA 95240 Attn: Jerry Glenn, Asst. City Manager Recently a number of neighborhood boys round a junked refrigerator floating down the river and pulled it over to a bank, carried it out to the street and loaded it onto my pickup. The refrigeratorwas on its way to the lake or the dam. It is not unusual to find regular amounts of various trash coming down the river usually dumped from the back of trucks, cars or carried in, in spite of the recent News -Sentinel articles implying that unsupervised public access may be acceptable or at least not a problem. To assist in its disposal I contacted Ms. Annette Murdaca at the transfer station. She was most cordial, helpful and provided a complementary disposal card for it. Her prompt attention very likely eliminated a major hazard to the City and\ or the Woodbridge irrigation district. While at the transfer station, I was most impressed by the additional efforts they are doing in recycling, dust control on the grounds, and vehicle cleaning. I an extending my thanks to Ms Murdaca and the facility through this note. Thanks ThKindsethK'\'__1 pliments you may extend as well. cc.
