BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project is the installation of a ruv sports lighting system at Kofu Park as previously approved by the City Council in April 1989. It includes rew wiring, poles, service panel, and switching for "soccer" or "baseball" lighting. The Boosters of Boys and Girls Sports organization 1 s contributing $10,000 toward the cost of the project. The design and estimate have been prepared by Masco of Northern California anu has been reviewed by City staff. The system specified will greatly improve the lighting on the field with offsite glare levels less than that at Salas Park. Plans and specifications for this project were approved on August 2, 1989. In order to provide more uniform lighting with less spill and glare, taller poles and an additional pole v, --re added to the design. The original estimate was "rough" and was based on an early lighting design, without the final electrical design. August 31, 1989 1 e 1 r y x tt "R"i —f t August 31, 1989 1.. s' — RESOLUTION NO. 89-110 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE CONTRACT FOR KOFU PARK SPORTS LIGHTING, 1445 SOUTH HAM LANE WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on August 23, 1989 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for Kofu Park Sports Lighting, 1445 South Ham Lane, described in the specifications therefor approved by the City Council on August 2, 1989; and 138,473.00 GAB Construction, Inc.
