BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received a letter of resignation from Lodi Improvement Committee Member, Lisa Nixon (filed). Therefore, it is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for this vacancy. Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The LIC meets at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Camegie Forum, 305 W. Pine Street, and consists of 5 members, each serving 3-yearterms. Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1) vacancy, which expires March 1, 2015. Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's office at 221 West Pine Street, 2nd floor.
