AGENDA TITLE: Intention to Vacate a Portion of the Public Utility Easement
at 1806 West Kettleman Lane
RLC MENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt a resolution of intention
to abandon a portion of the public utility easement at 1806 West Kettleman
Lane as shown on the attached exhibit; refer the matter to the Planning
Commission; and set it for public hearing at the regular Cowici 1 meeting of
August 2, 1989.
BACKGROUND Il4TRMATICN- This public utility easement abandonment has been
requested by the owners of 1836 West Kettleman Lane to allow them to
construct their building closer to the property line. A new 10' public
utility easement is being dedicated along the west property line for an
electric utility line and a public storm drain line.
The owners have paid the required fees to process this abandonment. Pacific
Bell, PG&E, King Videocable Company, and City utilities have been notified of
this proposed abandonment and th.eix approval will be secured prior to the
final action.

RESOLUTION NO. 89-77
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTrOIN OF THE PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED AT 1806 WEST KETTLEMAN LANE, LODI
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi as follows:
It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Lodi, acting in
accordance ..ith the provisions of Sections 8300 et seq. of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, to vacate and abandon the portion of
the public utility easement• located at 1206 'gest Kettleman Lane, Lodi as shown on
Exhibit A attached hereto and thereby made a part hereof.
Reference is hereby made to a map or plan on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Lodi for the particulars as to the proposed vacation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this City Council does hereby fix Wednesday,
August 2, 1989, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., i n the City Council Chamber, City Hall,
Lodi, California, as the time and place when and where all persons interested in
or objecting to this proposed vacaticn may appear before this City Council and be
heard.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the %bl is Works Director shall cause to be {
posted notices of easement vacation conspicuously along thu line of the easement
hereinabove described and proposed to be vacated in the manner, form, and for the
length of time set forth in Section 8323 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution shall be published for
at least two successive weeks prior to August 2, 1989 in the "Lodi News
Sentinel", a daily newspaper Gf general circulation printed and published in the
City o f Lodi, County of San Joaquin.

RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
PORTIONS OF PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS
IN CENTURY PLACE, LOTS 20, 21 and 26
NORTHWEST CORNER OF CHEROKEE LANE AND CENTURY BOULEVARD
BE I? RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi as follows:
Acting under the authority of Section 8333 of the Streets and Highways Code,
the Lodi City Council hereby approves the vacation of portions of public utility
easements in Century Place, Lots 20, 21, and 26 at the Morthwest corner of
Cherokee Lane and Century Boulevard, Lodi , California. Reference is hereby made
to a drawing on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lodi showing
the particulars of the vacation.
Pursuant to the requirements of Government Code Section 27288.1, the name of
the owner of the title or interest in Lots 20, 21, and 26 as it appeared at the
time and in the document creating the interest, right or encumbrance is as
fol lows :
Conejo Builders, a California corporation, Robert Palmateer, President.
