BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office was notified that a member of the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission has passed away. Therefore, it is recommended that Council direct the City Clerk to post for this vacancy. Government Code Section 54970 et sea. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The Lodi Senior Citizens Commission meets at 8:00 a.m. on the 1St Thursday of each month at the Senior Center at Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 7 members, each serving 4 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill one 4C 1 vacancy on the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission for a 2 -year term, which expires on December 31,2013.
