BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The following communication was received between the dates of October 1, 1992 and October 14, 1992. The attached letter, marked Exhibit "A", was received from Mr. Bill Barton of Lodi, complaining about the trucks and trailers parked on City streets during the night and over the weekends in the areas of Keagle Way, Mills Avenue at Tokay Street, Turner Road and Chestnut Street. FUNDING: None required. AACWNN-41 City Clerk AMR/imp C0UNCOM8/TXTA.02J/C0UNCOM APPROVED THOMAS A PETERSON Sept. 21, 1992 TO WHOM IT HAY CONCERN; I have a complaint about truck's and trailer's parked on city streets, at night and over the weekends. The txucks should only be parked for deliveries, not for any other reason. The streets of Lodi are much to narrow for parking of Big Rigs or Bobtail trucks. It' hard enough to drive with cars parked an3 children playing, we don" need eight foot wide and forty foot long trucks parked on residential streets. All streets that have no commercial use and are not a thoroughfare in or out of our city, I believe should be posted with a weight limit, like most other cities. Trucks owned or operated by companies within or close to our city limits, such as Valley Materials, or Teresi Trucking and others, should have parking facilities for their equipment. These Big Rigs parked on Keagle way, Mills at Tokay and Turner and Chestnut st, obstruct and I believe give Lodi the picture that we don't care about the residents of our community. Thank you for your time and consideration. CITY COUNCIL JAMES W. PINKERTON. Mayor PHILLIP A. PV 41NO Mayor Pro Tempore DAVID M. HINCHMAN JACK A. SIEGLOCK JOHNR.
