AGENDA TITLE: Presentation of City Employee Safety Logo Contest Awards

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Information only.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City's Safety Committee launched an employee
Safety Logo Contest to solicit a safety logo Cor the
safety incentive program "Safety Bucks." Forty
entries were received by the Committee.
The Safety Buck program went into effect on September 1, 1992 for the Police
Department, Public works Department, Electric Utilities Department, Parke
Division, and select members of the Finance Department. All awards will be
stenciled with the new safety logo.
Attached is a copy of the winning logo which was created by Debbie Planagan
(Finance), Robin L'Hoir (Police), and John Bell (Police). The Mayor will
present the three employees with sweatshirts as awards for their winning logo.
