BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received a letter of resignation (filed)from Lodi Animal Advisory Commissioner Dan Phillips. Government Code Section 54970 et seq., requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application; therefore, it is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to postfor the vacancy shown below. The Lodi Animal Advisory Commission meets at 6:00 p.m. on the 2"d Monday of each month in the Community Room at the Lodi Police Department and consists of 7 members, each serving 3 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill 2 vacancies for 1 term, which is due to expire on December 31, 2012; and 1 term, which is due to expire on December 31,2013.
