RECOMMENDED ACTION: Directthe City Clerk to re-postfor vacancies on the Lodi
Improvement Committee.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On three occasions, the City Clerk has posted for vacancies on the
Lodi Improvement Committee; however, no applications have been
received. Government Code Section 54970@L=. requires that the
City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. Therefore, it
is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to re-postfor the vacancies shown below with
a term to remain open until filled.

James Finch Term to expire March 1, 2014

ANNOUNCEMENT
Two (2) Vacancies on
the Lodi Improvement Committee
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for
the Lodi Improvement Committee (LIC), created
to maintain and improve the quality of life and
appearance of Lodi by the coordinated efforts of a broad
spectrum of the community.
The M meets at 6:00 p.m. on the 2"d Tuesday of
each month at the Camegie Forum, 305 W. Pine Street,
and consists of 7 members, each serving 3 -year terms.
Applications are now being accepted to fill two (2)
vacancies, which expire March 1, 2014.
Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's
office at 221 West Pine Street, 2"d floor. For more
information, call 333-6702 or access the City's Web
site at www.lodi.gov.
Appointments to the committee will be made by the
Mayorwith Council approval.
Note: You must be registered to vote in San Joaquin
County at the time cf application. If appointed, you will be
required to complete a Statement of Economic Interest.
This is a volunteer, unpaid position.
Filing Deadline: Tuesday, September4 2011, 5:30 p.m.
