BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Diamond, Inc. of Tokyo, Japan recently presented to Soraptimist Clubs throughout the North American continent the complete works consisting of 12 volumes entitled, "The Traditional Crafts of Japan". Diamond, Inc. has asked that Soroptimist Clubs donate these volumes to designated libraries in their communities. Soraptimist International of Lodi is indeed pleased to donate on behalf of Diamond, Inc. of Tokyo, Japan this outstanding works to the City of Lodi and its Sister City Committee. We know that it will provide the citizens of this community a real insight into Japanese arts, cultures, and crafts. FUNDING: None required. Alice M. At the City Council meeting of June 17, 1992, it was my pleasure as President of Soroptimist International of Lodi to present these volumes to the City of Lodi and the Sister City Committee for their library.
