The fol? owing com=mmication was received between
the dates of May 12, 1992 and May 26, 1992.
Attached marked Exhibit A is a letter from Pacific Gas and Electric Company
(PG&E) advising it had filed Application No. 92-05-009 with the California
Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in which it requests authority to
increase electric and gas rates.
PG&E seeks this revenue to cover a projected increase in cost of capital due
to projected higher interest rates and changes in economic, regulatory and
business risks for PG&E.
This proposal would result in an increase of electric rates by
approximately $48,731,000, and gas rates by approximately $63,024,000 to
become effective January 1, 1993. This increase to PG&Ei's electric and gas
rates would be less than one percent.
FUNDING: None required.
