BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The newest appointee to the Lodi Improvement Committee chose not to accept the appointment due to the State -mandated financial reporting requirements. Government Code Section 54970 et sea. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. (time) _JMR _MB brds/posting/publishadvin.doc City of Lodi ANNOUNCEMENT Two (2) Vacancies on the Lodi Improvement Committee The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for the Lodi Improvement Committee (LIC), created to maintain and improve the quality of life and appearance of Lodi by the coordinated efforts of a broad spectrum of the community. The LIC meets at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine Street, and consists of 7 members, each serving 3 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill two (2) vacancies, which expire March 1, 2014. Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's office at 221 West Pine Street, 2nd floor. For more information, call 333-6702 or access the City's Web site at www.lodi.ciov. Appointments to the committee will be made by the Mayorwith Council approval.
