AGENDA TITLE: Contract Award for Lodi Lake Park Beach Restroom Remodel,
1301 West Turner Road
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council award the contract for the above
project to McDonald Glenn Company in the amount of $79,931.00, and
appropriate an additional $7,000 from the General Fund Capital Outlay Reserve
to complete the project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of modifications to the
restrooms to provt a handicap accessibility and general major maintenance
improvements Yncluding a new concrete tile roof. The cost of the handicapped
modifications is 70% of the total according to the architect's estimate.
The handicap work is being funded with Block Grant funds; the remaining work
is from the General Fund. Necessary Block Grant funds were appropriated
under a separate Council action. An additional appropriation of $7,000 is
needed for the maintenance work.
Plans and specifications for this project were approved on January 17, 1990.

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR LODI LAKE PARK BEACH RESTROOM REMODEL
1301 WEST TURNER ROAD
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and
the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on
February 21, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for Lodi Lake Park Beach Restroom
Remodel, 1301 West Turner Road, described in the specifications therefor approved by
the City Council on January 17, 1990; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been Compared, checked, and tabulated and a
report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award of the contract for
Lodi Lake Park Beach Restroom Remodel, be made to the low bidder, McDonald Glenn
Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council or the City of Lodi
that award of contract for Lodi Lake Park Beach Restroom Remodel be and the same is
hereby awarded to McDonald Glenn Company, the low bidder, in the amount of
$79,931.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby approves the
appropriation of an additional 57,000 from the General Fund Capital Outlay Reserve
to complete the project.

the City Council of the City of Lodi in a regular meeting held March 21, 1990 by the
