HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - March 7, 1990 (54)O CITY OF LODI TO: City Council FROM: City Manager MEETING DATE: March 7, 1990 COUNCIL COMMUNICATION Pro'ect Data Originally Budgeted: 1986/87 Budgeted Fund: 1986 State Park Bond/ General Fund Amount Budgeted: $214,000 Total Project Estimate: $258,000 Bid Opening Date: 2/28/90 AGENDA TITLE: Contract Award for Lodi Lake Park Restroom Improvements (North and South), 1301 West Turner Road RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council award the contract for the above project to Diede Construction in the amount of $232,261.00 and appropriate an additional $44,000.00 from the Capital Outlay Reserve and Lodi Lake funds to complete the project. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of constructing a new restroom on the north point of Lodi Lake. This replaces the existing structure built in the late 1930s which could not be modified for handicap accessibility because of its size. Also included in the project is the construction of a small packaged sewage lift station and piping to replace the malfunctioning gravity sewer which served the old north restroom. This project also consists of modifying the south restroom at the lake for handicap accessibility and replacement of the old fixtures with new vandal resistant ones. The project is jointly funded by the City and 1986 State Park Bond funds. Plans and specifications for this project were approved on January 17, 1990.
