BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Attached, marked Exhibit "A", is a letter of resignation from Council Member Hinchman from the San Joaquin County Integrated Waste Management Local Task Force. Council Member Hinchman is resigning from this Task Force because of a conflict with the regular meeting dates and times. Mayor Pinkerton will be appointing Council Member Jack Sieglock as the City's representative to the Task Force. It is recommended that the City Council concur: with this appointment by motion action. I have enjoyed the time I was able to devote to this Task Force. The work it has accomplished, and the integration task which lies before it, is crucial toward dovelopino a truly effective regional source reduction and recycling program. Unfortunately, current demands ; on my time have forced me to focus energy on a more compact range of projects. City Council will be '.'appointing a new representative to the task Force.
