AGENDA TITLE: Destruction of Certain Public Works Records
NEEMU DATE: November 20, 1991

RECOMMENDED ACHON: That the City Council approve the destruction of the Public
Works files listed in the attached Exhibit A.
BACKGROUND Il4ORMAII01M Section 34090 of the California Government Code authorizes
the destruction of certain City records after the same are
no longer required "with the approval of the legislative
body by resolution and the written consent of the City
Attorney".
The City Attorney has given his written consent to the destruction of the Public
Works files listed in Exhibit A. The list is self-explanatory and contains Public
Works files in which the last entries are over five years old.

A RESOLUTION OF THE LOD I CITY COUNCIL
AMORONG DESIRUCIION OF CERTAIN RECOKDS
RETAINED BY THE LODI PUBLIC VOW DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code § 34090, the City
Attorney has filed his written consent to the destruction of certain
records retained by the Lodi Public Works Department, an inventory of
which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit A, and thereby made a part
hereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Lodi City Council that:
1. The records heretofore identified are no longer required.
2. The Lodi City Council finds that the City Attorney has
given his written consent to the destruction of the
records inventoried on Exhibit A attached hereto and the
destruction of those records is hereby authorized.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 91-212 was passed and
adopted by the Lodi City Counci? in an adjourned regular meeting
held November 20, 1991 by the following vote:

and pull out portions worth saving.
