AGENDA TITLE: Set Public Hearing for September 2, 1992 for East side Street
Lighting Program

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council set a public hearing to allow the
residents of the areas to be lighted the opportunity to
speak their opinion and also to hear recommendation from
staff.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project w i I I install street lights at four sites i n
the east side. Comnents from the public are expected to
be related to the type of light, the brightness of the
light. and placement on the sidewalk. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
funds will be used to pay for this one time project.
FUNDING: Originally Budgeted: 1992
Budgeted Fund: CDBG
Current Appropriation: 570,572.67
Total Project Estimate: Approximately 565,000

NOTICE IS IST OIV88 that on Wednesday. September 2, 1992 at the hour of 7;30
p.m „ or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. the Lodi City Council
will conduct a Public Hearing at the Carnegie Fozum, 305 West Pine Street, Lodi
CA, to hear the following matter:
a) Eastside Lighting Program which project would include the installation
of street lights at the following four sites in the east side:
In the area of Heritage S chwl on Garfield Street between Hilburn and
Eden streets. on Eden Street between Garfield Street and Cherokee Lane.
In the area of Van Buskirk Park on Pleasant Avenue between Forest and
Daisy Avenue, on Daisy Avenue between Pleasant Avenue and Church
Street.
In the area of John Blakely Park on Mission and Poplar Streets between
Stockton and Washington Streets, on Washington Street between Mission
and Poplar Streets.
In the area of Hale Park on Washington Stree* between Locust and Elm
Streets.
Detailed information Concerning this project is on `;.le in the City
Clark Is office and can be retrieved during regular nusine.ss hours.
All interested peraoas are invited to present their views and comments on this
matter. Written statements may be filed with the City Clerk at any time prior
to the hearing scheduled herein and oral statements may be made at said hearing.
If you challenge the subject matter in court, you may be limited to raising
only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in
this notice. or in written correspondence delivered to the City Clerk, 221 West
Pine Street. Lodi, California, a or prior to, the Public Hearing.
