The appropriate rates are included i n the attached ordinance. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Water re-tes were last adjusted in March 1989. The costs associated with providing water service i n 1991-92 are $116,490 more than budgeted for in 1990-91. The recommended increase will provide approximately $120,000 additional revenue in 1991-92 fiscal year. FUNDING: None required Respectfully submitted, Jerry L. Ordinance 1448 is repealed in its entirety. ?he schedule of water service for the City of Lodi shall be as follows: Residential Number of Bedrooms House Apartment 1 $ 7.35 $ 6.30 2 8.82 7.56 3 10.58 9.07 4 12.71 + 20%for each additional bedroom 5 15.25 6 18.29 7 21.95 Metered 28.5 cents per 100 cubic feet Unmetered Commercial and Industrial Present rate plus 5% -1- SECTION 2. Pursuant to Government Code Section 36937(d), as a usual and current expense of the City, the rates set in this Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage and shall be applied to all billings made for water -furnished on or after August 1, 1991. SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi 1Vs Sentinel", a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force and take effect upon its passage and approval. Lodi Municipal Code Chapter 13.04 is hereby a memied by adding thereto a rev Section 13.04.125 entitled "Waiver of certain charges", to read in full as follows: 13.04.125 Waiver of certain charges. ' "A. The Finance Director shall be authorized, within his discretion, to cancel all closed accounts with a balance due the City of five dollars or less. B. Refunds on closed accounts of five dol ars or less will not be made unless a specific request is received by the Finance Director from the party to whom a refund is to be made." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published one time i- the "Lodi Nags Sentinel", a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and -1- published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from and after its passage and approval.
