RECOMMENDED ACTION: Directthe City Clerk to post for one vacancy on the Greater Lodi
Area Youth Commission (Adult Advisor).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received notification of resignation from
Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission Adult Advisor, Isaac Morales.
It is, therefore, recommended that the City Council direct the City
Clerk to post for the vacancy shown below.

Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens
interested in serving to submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to
make the necessary postings.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
FUNDING AVAILABLE: None required.

One (1) Adult Advisor Vacancy
on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications from
individuals interested in serving as an adult advisor on the
Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission, developed
to affect positive growth in young adults through a variety
of activities that will generate interest and participation
within the community.
The Youth Commission meets on the 2nd Monday of
each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Cottage Room at
Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 6 adult advisors,
1 City Council representative, and 9 student members.
Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1)
vacancy for a two-year term to expire May 31,201 1.
Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's
office at 221 W. Pine Street, 2nd floor. For more
information, call 333-6702, or access the City's Web
site at www.lodi.gov.
Appointments to the Commission will be made by the
Mayorwith Council approval.
Note: You must be registered to vote in San Joaquin
County at the time of application. This is a volunteer,
unpaid position.
Filing Deadline: Monday, June 8, 2009, at 5:00
