Prior to starting this program, we had a continual problem of graffiti at Morelli Park. The graffiti would reappear on the building within a few days after our painting and the building constantly looked unsightly. Since the application of "Graffiti Buster Paint" and the service you have provided, graffiti is wiped off as easily as it is generated and the building always looks clean. Sincerely, LARRY NORDSTROM PARKS SUPERINTENDENT/ LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT LN:bac cc: Emil Seifert, Director f C -,! TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Weat California Cooler have utilized the services of the "Graffiti Buster" on one of our warehouses with excellent results. This articular warehouse was covered with various graffiti, however, the 'Graffiti Buster" was able to cover the surface with his special coating. BOX 3006 Lodi, CA 95241-1910 Dear Mr. McNatt and Council Members: We recently constructed a nev office building in Woodbridge and were concerned about graffiti problems since both the nearby Masonic Lodge and Ravinius Market have been trashed with graffiti. After our first graffiti, we had the graffiti removed and painted over by American Graffiti Service of Lodi. This firm guarantees protection by removing and painting over repeated graffiti attacks. American Graffiti Service matched our paint color perfectly and ve have had no repetition of the first spray painting. since our firm deals in real estate appraisals, sales and developing, a primary concern is maintaining our property value. Therefore, we highly recommend the American Graffiti service to other individuals or municipalities. Very truly yours, DUNCAN, DUNCAN 6 ASSOCIATES, INC. Downtown Stockton Asnociateo and other groups are attempting to revitalize the downtown area. I have been assistirig their efforts since October, when my office mads an inquiry to the USPS _ on behalf of Mr. Dennis Cochran and the Chamber of Commerce. To close the Mid Town Station, when the efforts of tneae local groups are, in their inCancy, would be a devastating blow. I realize th&t the safety or the workere at the facility is a concern, an Wall it should be. However, I am sure that if the Postal Service would contact the local groups, meetwuras could be developed that would ensure the safety of the workera. Even more so, self pride, cultural pride, or nelghbornood pride are not Shown by contribution to the deterioration of neighborhoods. through vandalizing private and community property. Graffiti writers, by and large, are those individuals who are involved in gangs. First of all, gangs include their name, moniker (nick name), and the part of the state they claim, X111 for South, or XIV for North, Crips or Bloods, SWP, or Indo-Chinese. Secondly, gangs put up graffiti to let others know of their supposed Primacy over an area or just let it be known they are alive and weil. Thirdly, graffiti is an intricate system of codes/symbols pzssed down from one generation tc the next. And lastly, grafflti is a non-verb3l message intended just for those who know the code, a deadly one at times The results of graffiti vary, it all depends on a persons interpretation. The average person views it as an eyesore, as destruction of private property, and they are not ove, ly impressed by it. To the trained eye, its' a destructive. selfish form of expression contributing to the devaluation and deterloration of neighborhood property. Graffiti can and does cause gang fights.
