BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The bylaws of the Lodi Arts Commission state that any member who misses three consecutive regular meetings of the Commission without leave of absence from the Commission shall be deemed to have vacated the office. One member has missed in excess of that, and at the request of the Lodi Arts Commission, it is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the vacancy below. Lodi Arts Commission Thorstien Himle Term to expire July 1,2011 Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary postings. FISCAL IMPACT: None. FUNDING AVAILABLE: None required.
