RGENDA TITLE: Amend Salary Schedule for Temporary Employees
MEETING DATE: February 19, 1992

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve amended salary schedule (Appendix A) for
Temporary Employees.
BACKGROUND INFORMlAT.ION: The city recently completed negotint ions wilh its
bargaining units and made appropriate changes to the
effected salary schedules.
It is recommended that certain part-time salaries be increased to reflect these same
amounts. The amounts include a 3.75% increase for all classifications except the
fial l ovi rig :
a) Account Clerk, Administrative Clerk 1/11, Meter Reader. heavy
Equipment Mechanic and Tree Trimmer. These classes are aligned to
correspond with the equivalent full-time classification salaries.
b) Boat Attendant I, Cashier -Recreation. Recreation leader,
and Recreation Scorekeeper have been increased to reflect federal
minimum wage requirements.
Other recommended changes are as follows:
c) That the follwing classifications be deleted: Custodinn,
Police Matron, and Deputy Water Conservation Officer Y -Rate.
d) That the title City Councilman be charged to City Councilmember.
e) That the Laborer classification be re -titled to Laborer A and that
Laborer B be ndded as indicated.
f) That the Mechanic classification be re -titled to Heavy Equipment
Mechanic.
These changes would be effective aL the beginning of the pay period in which this
meting falls.

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AMENDING SALARY SCHEDULE FOR TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES
AND APPROVING MODIFICATIONS TO TITLES AND CLASSIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, The city recently completed negotiations with its
bargaining units and made appropriate changes to the affected salary
schedules;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Lodi City Council hereby
authorizes that certain part-time salaries be increased as shown on
Exhibit A to reflect these same amounts, which include a 3.7516 increase
for all classifications except the following:
a) Account Clerk, Administrative Clerk 1/I1, Meter Reader. Heavy
Equipment Mechanic and Tree Trimmer. These classes are
aligned to correspond with the equivalent full-time
classification salaries.
b) Boat Attendant I, Cashier -Recreation, Recreation Leader,
and Recreation Scorekeeper have been increased to reflect
federal minimum wage requirements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; the following modifications are hereby
approved:
a) The following classifications are hereby deleted: Custodian,
Police Matron, and Deputy Uater Conservation Officer Y -Rate.
b) The title City Councilman is hereby changed to City
Counci l memzbe r .
c) The Laborer classification is hereby re -titled Laborer A and
Laborer B is hereby added as indicated on Exhibit A.
d) The Mechanic classification 1s hereby re -titled Heavy
Equipment Mechanic; and
FURTHER RESOLVED. these changes shall be effective at the
beginning of the pay period in which the February 19, 1992 meeting
falls.
