This request deviates from cost allocation rules for undergrounding as set Earth in Rule 32 of Pacific Bell's teriffs. (Schedule Cal. P.U.C. No. A.2.1.32) The proposed increase applies to all Pacific Bell customers statewide, including those receiving basic_ and toll services, as well as long distance companies which are provided access to our network. You now receive a "Rate Surcnarge" which would be decreased by 0.144 percent if the application is approved. The "Rate Surcharge' is listed on your bill in the "Regulated Monthly Charges and Credits" section.
