A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING AMENDED CONTRACT FOR SERVICES OF E. THOMAS CARTWRIGHT,
TRAFFIC ENGINEERING ASSISTANT, PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council does hereby approve the
amended contract for services of E. Thomas Cartwright, Traffic
Engineering Assistant, Public Works Department, .is shown on Exhibit A
attached hereto; and
FURTHER RESOLVED. Council hereby approves the hourly salary range
for this position, as follows:

This is to certify that i, E. ' hc)in,is continue (-r Ioyrwnf with the
City of Lodi in the position of Traffic Engineering Assistant at a base salary
of $16,81 per hour (Step A). The these salary may be modified during the tern cf
this agreement as provided in the M�rrnrandum of Understanding between the City
and the General unit.
It is understood that it is the City's and my intention to work approximately 40
hours each 80 -hour pay period.
The following terms and benefits are understood:
1. No vacation, sick leave. or other leave benefits will be accrued;
the hourly salary�ias been adjusted to include leave compensation.
2. Medical, dental. and vision insurance Coverage will be pro,�idcd with
employee's contribution of 50% of the premium. eithor through payroll
deduction or salary adj:jsurinnt
3. Long -tern disability bonn(ir to be 50% of that provided in the HOU.
4. The employee will not be covered by PERS. but wilt be enrolled in an
eligible retirement system at his cost.
5. The employee will be eligible to receive merit increases based on
satisfactory work performance. in accordance with the current city policy.
This agreement may be terminated under the Co.tlow ing circumstances:
1. For cause
2. With 30 days' written notice of the City's desire to terminate the
contract without cause,
3. Upon employee's resigi)atson from city service.
