BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received the attached request from the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District to appoint a Council Member to a newly created Valley -wide Special City Selection Committee. The Special City Selection Committee is charged with making appointments of city representatives to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District's Governing Board and would consist of one member of each city located within the District. It was further suggested that an alternate be appointed as well to serve in the delegate's absence.
