BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On November 20. 1991, the City Council approved specifications and authorized advertisement for bids. Bids were opened on December 17, 1991, with the following results: Oeco Utility Supply Cb.. Vacaville S12,224.24 G.E. Supply Co.. Martinez 13,437.50 Capital Wholesale Electric, Sac. 13.50 1.08 All -Phase Electric Supply, Stockton 14,238.09 Valley Electric, Stockton 14,427.72 WESCO Utility Supply, Concord 15.200.29 This purchase is part of the Electric Utility Department's ongoing program to replace mercury vapor streetlights with the more efficient high pressure sodium luminaires. FUNDING: Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in the Street Light Maintenance account, 10.0-503.10. Henry J. City Man"W CC -1 RESOLUTION NO. 92-6 _=====s===sssssasss■sss A RESOLUTION OF THE LOOT CITY COUNCIL REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FCR THE PURCHASE OF 210 HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM LUMINAIRES FCR THE ELECTRIC UTILITY DEPARTMENT- AND EPARTMENTAND AUTHORIZING REAOVERTISEMENT FOR SIDS saasssssssssasssesssss:sas:sss:ssasassssssssss:ar�rsssssesassaaasss:sssss WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on December 17. 1991 at 11:00 a.m. for the bid f o r the purchase of 210 high pressure sodium luminaires for the Electric Utility Department, described in the specifications therefor approved by the City Council on November 20, 1991; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Nanager as follows; Deco Utility Supply Co., Vacaville 512,224.24 G. E. Supply Co.. Martinez 513,437.50 Capital Wholesale Electric, Sacramento $13,501.08 All -Phase Electric Supply, Stockton 514,238.09 Valley Electric, Stockton $14027.72 WESCO Utility Supply, Concord $15,200.29 WHEREAS, it has been determined that there was a discrepancy in the equipment specifications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that a I I bids received are hereby rejected due to a discrepancy in the equipment specifications; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that staff is directed to revise the specifications and readvertise for bids.
