RECOMMENDED ACTION: Concur with the Mayor's recommended appointment to the Lodi
Improvement Committee.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On July 18, 2007, the City Clerks was directed to post for
one vacancy on the Lodi Improvement Committee. The Mayor has
reviewed the applications and has made his selection. It is,
therefore, recommended that the City Council concur with the
following appointment.

process a difficult one; however, a choice had to be made. The candidate selected by
the Mayor was appointed at the regular City Council meeting of October 3, 2007.
Your application will remain on file for review and consideration of future vacancies for a
period of one year from the date it was received by the City Clerk's Office.

Congratulations! The City Council, at its regular meeting of October 3, 2007, has
concurred with the Mayor's recommendation to appoint you to the Lodi Improvement
Committee.
A copy of this letter will be forwarded to the City liaison for this group who will contact you
soon regarding your responsibilitiesand the dates and times of upcoming meetings.
It will be necessaryfor you to complete a Form 700 —Statement of Economic Interest
Assuming Office Statement (enclosed) no later than 30 days from the effective date of your
