BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received letters of resignation from Lodi Arts Commissioners, Petra Gillier and Karen Mattei (on file in the City Clerk's Office). It is, therefore, recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the vacancies below: Lodi Arts Commission Petra Gillier Term to expire July 1, 2009 Karen Mattei Term to expire July 1, 2011 Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary postings. FISCAL IMPACT None. FUNDING AVAILABLE: None required. The Lodi Arts Commission meets at 12:00 noon or the 2"d Wednesday of each month at the Thoma: Theatre Gallery at Hutchins Street Square and consist: of 11 members, each serving 3 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill two (2 vacancies for one term, which is due to expire July 1 2009,and one term, which is due to expire July 1, 2011 Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk'?
