RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council, by motion action, direct the City Clerk to post for two
vacancies on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission (Student
Appointees).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office was notified of the resignations of the two
Student Appointees shown below. It is, therefore, recommended
that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the vacancies.

Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens
interested in serving to subn*dt an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to
make the necessary postings.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Two (2) Student Vacancies on the
Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for the
Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission, developed to affect
positive growth in young adults through a variety of activities
that wils generate interest and participatiion within the com-
munity.
The Youth Commission sheets on the 2nd Thursday of each
month a, 7:00 p.m. in the Cottage Room at Hutchins Street
Square and consists of 1 City Council representative, 6 adult
advisors serving 3 -year terms, and 9 student members serving
2 -yeas terms.
Applications are now being acoepted to fill two {2) student
vacancies due to expire May 31, 2007.
Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's office at
221 W. fine St., 2nd floor- For more information call 333-
6702, or access the City's Web site at www.lodi.gov,
Appointments to the Commission will be made by the Mayor
with Council approval.
821" Deadline: Monday, July 24, 2006 at 5.00 p.m.
Note: Applicants under age 18 must obtain a parent/guardian
signature on their application prior to submission.
