BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received a letter of resignation (filed) from Commissioner, Ed Beswick. It is, therefore, recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the vacancy below. Lodi Improvement Committee Ed Beswick Term to expire March 1,2008 Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary postings. FISCAL IMPACT: None FUNDING AVAILABLE: None required. Susan J. The LIG meets at 5:00 p.m. on the 1st Tuesday,of east month at the Adopt -A -Child Building, 100 East Pine Street and consists of 9 members, each serving 3 -year terms.
