Stockton Street, to I , o Concrete Inc., of Lathrop, CA in the amount of $71,420.00. BACKWtOrUND IN'F©RMA7WN: The "South" pool deck work consists of providing all labor, materials and equipment to install approximately 6,100 square feet of Polymer Concrete trowel knockdown finish over the existing concrete pool decking. Work also incudes adjustments of existing utility service box lids within pool deck area, grinding all existing concrete construction joints, pressure washing, 350 lineal fertt of crack repair, insWiation of (20) 8 inch square ceramic file pool markers, installation of colorcoat and clear sealers. The pn*ct was advertised in two local area newspapers and nine building exchanges from January 27, 2007, though February 14, 7007. The bid opening took place on February 21, 2007. The bid specifications stipulated that all general contractors interested in baling this project are required to be in attendance at the mandatory job walk in order to be eligible to bid the project. The mandatory job wank is an opportunity for all contractors to walk through the project with City staff, ask questions regarding the scope of work, and review the existing site conditions. There were five general contractor plan holders for this project and only two general contractors attended the mandatory job walk. The City received the following bid for this project: s Estimate ncrete Inc. Lathrop $86,000.00 $71,420.00 FISCAUMPACT: There is no direct impact to the Parks and Recreation Department budget for the install4bon of to new polymer concrete finish. Community Development Block Grant funds will be supporting the installation of this project in its entirety. Stockton 'Street, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on November 1, 2006; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Biidder _ Location BSI Engineers Estimate $86,000.00 100% Concrete Inc. Lathrop $71,420.00 WHEREAS, staff recommends award of the contract to 100% Concrete Inc., of Lathrop, California, in the amount of $71,420.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council hereby awards the contact for the Blakely Park "South" Pool Deck Improvements, 1050 S. Stockton Street, to 100% Concrete Inc., of Lathrop, California, in the amount of $71,420.00.
