BACKGROUND INFORMATION: A few terms are due to expire this year on the Lodi Improvement Committee. It is, therefore, recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the expiring terms below. Lodi Improvement Committee Bertha Castro Term to expire March 1,2006 Fran Forkas Term to expire March 1, 2006 Eileen St. Yves Term to expire March 1,2006 Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary postings. FISCAL IMPACT: None. FUNDING AVAILABLE: None required. —T usan J. The LIC meets at 5:00 p.m. on the 1St Tuesday of each month at the Adopt -A -Child Building, 100 East Pine Street, and consists of 9 members, each serving 3 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill three (3) vacancies for terms which expire on March 1,2006. Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's office at 221 West Pine Street, 2"d floor.
