RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council, by motion action, direct the City Clerk to post for
expiring terms on the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission, the San
Joaquin County Mosquito & Vector Control District, and the Site
Plan and Architectural Review Committee.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Several terms are due to expire shortly on various boards and
commissions. It is, therefore, recommended that the City Council
direct the City Clerk to post for the expiring terms below.

State statute requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to
submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary

Monday, December 5, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Clerk's Office. If we do not

Two (2) Vacancies on the
Lodi Senior Citizens Commission
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for
the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission,
developed to identify the needs and issues specifically
affecting the senior citizens of the community, and
initiate action to assure they are addressed.
The Lodi Senior Citizens Commission meets at 8:00
a.m. on the 3'd Thursday of each month at the Senior
Center at Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 7
members, each serving 4 -year terms.
Applications are now being accepted to fill two (2)
vacancies on the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission,
4 -year terms which expires on December 31, 2009.
Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's
office at 221 W. Pine St., 2"d floor. For more
information call 333-6702, or access the City's Web
site at www.lodi.gov.
Appointments to the commission will be made by the
Mayor with Council approval.

which is empowered to utilize resources to control the
threat of disease -transmitting pests, thereby enhancing
public health and the quality of life for residents and
visitors of San Joaquin County.
The group meets at 1:00 p.m. on the P Tuesday of
each month at the District Office — 7759 S. Airport Way
in Stockton. The group consists of seven
representatives from throughout the County. The Lodi
representative is appointed to serve a two-year term
which is due to expire December 31, 2007.

promote the orderly development of the City.
SPARC meets at 5:15 p.m. on the 1St and Sd Mondays of
each month at the Carnegie Forum, and consists of 5
members, each serving 4 -year terms.

vacancy on SPARC, term to expire January 1, 2010.
