RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council, by motion action, direct the City Clerk to post for one
vacancy on the Lodi Animal Shelter Task Force.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received notification of resignation from
Animal Shelter Task Force member, Gretchen Nelson. It is,
therefore, recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk
to post for the vacancy below.

State statute requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to
submit an application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary
postings.

The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for the
Lodi Animal Shelter Task Force, charged with providing
short- and long-term recommendations regarding the Lodi
Animal Shelter.
The meeting date, time, and location of the Lodi Animal
Shelter Task Force vary, and the Task Force consists of 7
members. Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1)
vacancy for an unspecified term.
Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's office.

Appointments to the task force will be made by the Mayot
with Council approval.
Note: You must be registered to vote in San Joaquin
County at the time of application. This is a volunteer,
