HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - July 6, 2005 E-13AGENDA ITEM E45 CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION TM AGENDA TITLE: Authorize Public Works Staff to Solicit Statements of Qualification from Engineering Consultants for Preparation of 2005 Urban Water Management Plan, Integrated Water Management Plan, Reclaimed Water Master Plan and Water Master Plan for the General Plan Update MEETING DATE: July 6, 2005 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council authorize Public Works staff to solicit Statements of Qualification from engineering consultants for preparation of 2005 Urban Water Management Plan, Integrated Water Management Plan, Reclaimed Water Master Plan and Water Master Plan for the General Plan Update BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Within the next year, the City of Lodi will be faced with many significant decisions regarding the future of its water supply and infrastructure required to accommodate the expansion associated with the General Plan Update. The plans referenced above are required to provide the City with the information needed to make these important decisions. In response, staff is requesting authorization to solicit Statements of Qualifications from consultant team(s) with expertise in providing water resources planning and design services. The consultant team initially selected will be tasked with completing the City's Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP), which in accordance with California Water Code, must be updated by December 31, 2005. At a future date, staff will return to Council for approval of individual scope and fee agreements for each study. FISCAL IMPACT: NIA FUNDING AVAILABLE: No funding needed this time. Richard C.
