RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt a resolution authorizing the City
Manager to approve the purchase of 384 Solid -State Meters with
Interval Data Module (IDM) R300 from Itron, Inc. of Spokane,
Washington ($32,500).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On April 6, 2005, the City Council approved the standardization of
solid-state meters for residential and small commercial customers
with Itron of Spokane, Washington as per Resolution No. 2005-64.
Itron solid-state meters are widely used in the power industry and
are scalable to Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) application.
Meters are needed on an ongoing basis for maintenance replacement of damaged, tampered or
inaccurate units. Other planned meter application includes new development projects, inaccessible
areas to Meter Readers, and the identified pilot test sites by both Electric Utility and Public Works
Departments in conjunction with power/water meter AMR.
FISCAL IMPACT: None. Funds are included in page E-41 of the 2003-05 Financial Plan and

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF 384 SOLID STATE
METERS FOR RESIDENTIAL AND SMALL
COMMERCIAL APPLICATION FROM ITRON, INC.
WHEREAS, on April 6, 2005, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2005-64,
approving the standardization of solid-state meters for residential and small commercial
customers with Itron, Inc., of Spokane, Washington; and
WHEREAS, Itron solid-state meters are widely used in the power industry and
are scalable to Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) application; and
WHEREAS, meters are needed on an ongoing basis for maintenance

Itron, Inc., of Spokane, Washington, in an amount not to exceed $32,500.
